Bourbon Spiced Nuts
The following Sunday will be the end of football season. We love our college football and the joke in our house is that I start watching NFL in January. Football season looked very different last year. even with our busy lifestyles, Aniket and I try to attend 1-2 games in person and get together with friends for major games. I have no idea how Superbowl Sunday will look this year, but I excited to have some fun treats and drinks lined up.

When it comes to watching football, we are like our appetizers and snacks. I am not a huge fan of one large meal so we like to munch on a variety of goodies. If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know that I am a fan of bourbon. With that intro, lets get into the recipe.

Ingredients
Main
3 C of Unsalted Mixed Nuts (Dry Roasted)
Liquids
1 Tbs of Maple Syrup
1 Tbs of Bourbon or Whiskey
1 Tbs of Olive Oil or Melted Vegan Butter
Spices
1/2 Tsp of Coarse Pink Salt
1/2 Tsp of Smoked Paprika
1/4 Tsp of Cumin
1/4 Tsp of Ground Cinnamon

Methods
Preheat the oven to 325 F
In a small bowl, whisky all the dry spices and the liquid ingredients.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and add the nuts. Pour the spiced syrup over the nuts and toss well
Bake for 26 mins. At the halfway point, give the nuts a good toss.
Let this coll completely before serving.

Notes:
You can double the bourbon and paprika measurements if you like stronger flavors. I kept this measurements on the conservative side to make sure it was a crowd pleaser.
Hope you have a safe Superbowl Sunday! Make sure to follow me on Instagram for more game-day recipes.
